The wonderful thing about California is that there are many different beaches to choose from. Here is a list of some of the beaches you can find along the coast, from Northern to Southern California. Every new beach visited from this moment on will be shared here.
1. pOINT REYES NATIONAL SEASHORE
Let's start in Marin County, where we can find the Point Reyes National Seashore beach. You can expect to get a nice combination of forest areas, as well as mountain views on your drive. Both North beach and South beach are beautiful, and aside from how cold it may look here, the sun definitely came out shining!
I have to note that the waves are the wildest we have ever seen!
The signs will even advise you not to enter the water, or do so at your own risk. The breathtaking views of the coastline, and the waves make up for it.
In the area: Check out the Light house, the Cypress Tree Tunnel, and other surrounding attractions. On the way home, stop at Point Reyes Station, a town with good food, drinks, and local attractions!
2. Thornton state beach
I cannot shake the emotions that this beautiful Daly City beach gave me. First, I was not expecting to be so amazed by it, but for me, the spontaneous decision I made to first come here for a little nature time turned into a spiritual one, giving me answers that I was looking for at the time of my life.
.It's a mini trail walk through the hills to get to beach, so it's recommended to leave those heavy beach chairs behind, but no matter what activities you choose here, or what you experience, everyone can find something rewarding for them at Thornton State Beach.
be sure to check back for updates!
3. carmel beacH
Carmel beach is just one of the beautiful beaches in Monterey County, and it is so worth checking out along with the other's nearby. We have visited Monterey county beaches multiple times, and it is always worth it. You can check out the local shops and art galleries nearby, as well as enjoy the water in beautiful weather. Even when it was foggy, the weather was warm for us, so we have definitely been fortunate here!
Also, if you happen to see other beaches on your way, I absolutely suggest picking one and taking a quick visit because each beach has a different feel and to be honest, every time we detour it's always special and rewarding!
5. Pfeiffer beach
4. LOVERS POINT Beach
Lover's point also stands in Monterey County, CA, and is a great place to do water activities and relax in the beach with your family. Aside from the name, I found this area quite romantic since my partner and I got to take a stroll on the Lover's Point Park path, and walk along the actual point. The scenery is just so beautiful and it has become a memorable and special place for us!
Enjoy a beautiful, scenic drive along the coast through Big Sur, CA. With views of rock to blue water and forest somewhere in the middle, you can make your way to Pfeiffer beach! We visited toward the end of the summer and though we were not prepared for the wind that greeted us upon arrival, regardless of the weather I have never seen so many people visiting for photography and I loved to see it!
6. Laguna beach
It is on our bucket list to visit the main part of Laguna Beach because the bits and pieces that we did visit here did not satisfy, given the short time we had to spend there. We spent the majority of our time sharing the beach at a nearby resort. The camera can only share so much, but the view of these sparkling blue-green waters here is so beautiful I could look at it all day!
