I've been to Los Angeles many times since it's just about a 6-hour drive away from home, and I still haven't gotten to all of the things I want to do in and surrounding the Los Angeles area. At the same time, there are so many things that I've been able to do and I'm excited to share them here!
1.UNIVERSAL STUDIOS hollywood & city walk
Enjoy a walkthrough of restaurants, bars, activities, and music right next to Universal Studios Hollywood! Universal City Walk is full of shopping and entertainment, and a great way to spend one of your vacation nights, especially after visiting the Universal Studios park itself.
2. The Santee Alley
Speaking of shopping, you can't leave LA without visiting The Santee Alley. This huge walkthrough is full of souvenirs, clothing, food, and more. It gets pretty full, and pretty hot especially around summer, so don't forget your sunscreen!
3. Olvera street
While similar to The Santee Alley, Olvera street is a historical district full of shopping, great food, music, and more! The flowers, buildings, and environment as a whole make it a great place to take photos. And with the great smelling food, be prepared for a long line, it'll be worth the wait.
4. Hermosa beach and hermosa PIER PLAZA
Take a nice stroll while admiring all the amazing homes down the beach walkway, or walk through the soft sand and dip your feet in the refreshing beach water. This beach definitely lives up to it's name! Don't want to get sandy quite yet? The Pier Plaza stands right in front of Hermosa Beach, with shops and restaurants making its way a few blocks uphill. The first time my partner and I visited the area, there was an event going on that filled the area with vendors selling gifts, clothing, and more. There was live music, a variety of food and other activities that if we did not have to go home that day, we would have stayed all day for!
5. Venice Beach Boardwalk
Like Hermosa Beach Avenue, Venice Beach Boardwalk is conveniently right at Venice Beach. It's filled with plenty of food, vendors, and live performances. It also has a variety of very interesting shops you will want to check out! Bring comfortable shoes for this rewarding walk!
6. Grand Central Market
If you like trying different foods, Grand Central Market is the place to go. There's a variety of different options, and walking up a couple steps you'll run into great music, a couple of bars, and nighttime lights to light up your night!
7. The Broad Museum
We had to make sure we list one of the many museums in the Los Angeles area. The Broad Museum is full of beautiful artwork, and entry is free! There are multiple levels of art experiences to satisfy your time.
8. SANTA MONICA PIER
Santa Monica Pier is a beautiful attraction sitting on Santa Monica Beach, full of rides, vendors, music, waterfront restaurants, and more! Be sure to visit earlier to have a full day of fun before closing time.
9. DISNEYLAND & CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE park
Of course, we have to look outside of Los Angeles and visit Disneyland and California Adventure Park in Anaheim, CA. These connected theme parks are full of fun, and food!
